Tulip Unveils Composable AI Agents at Operations Calling

At its largest-ever Operations Calling conference, Tulip introduces the first configurable agentic AI solution designed for manufacturers.

OCT 7, 2025 - BOSTON, MA - Tulip, the global leader in frontline operations, today announced the launch of its Composable AI Agents, the industry’s first configurable agentic AI solution purpose-built for frontline operations. Unveiled at Tulip’s annual user conference, Operations Calling, the breakthrough technology empowers manufacturers to safely deploy AI-powered agents that don’t just detect issues but take meaningful action on the shop floor.

Manufacturers worldwide face rising complexity, workforce shortages, and pressure to improve efficiency. Tulip’s Composable AI Agents help manufacturers face these challenges, from enforcing quality checks and rescheduling production tasks to generating validation documentation and automating rework processes. Acting as digital lean teammates, these agents help operations leaders cut costs, reduce downtime, and drive continuous transformation at scale.

Unlike traditional solutions, Tulip’s AI Agents are fully configurable. Teams can build custom agents using the agent builder or download pre-built options from the Library, ensuring safe, auditable, and enterprise-ready AI for operations. Available now in closed beta, the agents are designed to evolve with each manufacturer’s processes while maintaining full transparency into logic and actions for validation and compliance.

“Manufacturers don’t need AI for AI's sake — they need tools that can help them solve problems," said Mason Glidden, Chief Product and Engineering Officer at Tulip. "With Composable AI Agents, companies can safely define roles, instructions, and actions — giving them confidence to solve a new class of problems across operations.”

The announcement comes during the largest-ever Operations Calling conference, now in its third year. The sold-out event gathered more than 700 attendees and 41 partner companies, making it the premier gathering for operations leaders. This year’s program features visionary keynotes, interactive AI training, and case studies from leading global manufacturers including AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, Stanley Black & Decker, and DMG Mori.
