What is a Subprocessor?
While GDPR does not specifically define "subprocessor", Article 4(8) GDPR defines a “processor” as:
“a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller”.
Therefore, a sub-processor is any person, public authority, agency, or other body that posses personal data on behalf of the processor acting on behalf of the controller.
