We are excited to show off the latest AI capabilities in Tulip Automations: AI Prompt Actions. These are powerful new tools to embed generative AI into your operations to drive intelligent, real-time decision-making and action.

With AI Prompt Actions, you can now create AI-powered automations that don’t just flag issues; they take the steps needed to address them. By using AI action blocks in Automations, you can respond to events and combine the reasoning capabilities of large language models with Tulip’s low-code connectors, letting AI analyze data, suggest actions, and even execute tasks automatically.

AI Prompt Actions is currently available and allows you to prompt Tulip AI with context-rich instructions from within an automation workflow.

Putting AI-Powered Automations into Action

Today’s manufacturing and operations teams are burdened by dashboards, manual reports, and alerts that require human follow-up. AI Prompt Actions change that—automating complex decisions, standardizing exception handling, and eliminating time wasted on repetitive triage work.

Whether it’s classifying defects, responding to equipment failures, or kicking off replenishment orders, AI Prompt Actions help teams work smarter, not harder.

What’s Coming

Agent Actions, coming soon, will let AI call and use tools to perform real-world actions, like logging a maintenance order, escalating an issue, or notifying a team. This action uses connector functions and the upcoming Functions feature (currently available in an early preview) as tools for agents to interact with Tulip and other systems.

Together, these features empower you to build configurable, no-code AI workflows that are proactive.
