Tulip Signs Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS to Expand Capabilities Driving Resilience for Frontline Operations

13 APRIL 2023, BOSTON, MA — Tulip Interfaces, a leader in frontline operations, has announced that it has signed a strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS). The new agreement is designed to advance the adoption of cloud solutions for manufacturing and fuel the development of flexible and adaptable manufacturing operations solutions.

Building upon their long standing relationship, Tulip and AWS are doubling down on their efforts to help manufacturers rethink their operations tech stacks and equip their frontline workforce with connected apps that lead to higher quality, improved efficiency, and resilience in their operations. Through this multi-year SCA, Tulip and AWS will deliver further value to their customers by expanding collaboration in the areas of analytics, computer vision, and edge computing to enhance Tulip product capabilities and offerings with AWS services.

Over the past few years, constant disruption has become the norm. Inflation, changes in supply chain, and workforce challenges have accelerated the demand for flexible, cloud-based manufacturing systems that quickly adapt to change. “The need for manufacturers to build adaptable systems that keep operations resilient in the face of disruption is crucial in today’s environment, and Tulip’s collaboration with AWS is central to our strategy in how we help our shared customers achieve this,” says Natan Linder, CEO and Co-founder, Tulip.

Combined with AWS services, Tulip’s cloud-native frontline operations platform enables manufacturers to take a human-centric and composable approach to frontline solutions that unlocks adaptability and resilience, makes interacting with systems on the factory floor intuitive, and empowers the frontline manufacturing workforce with no-code capabilities to promote a culture of citizen development.

“One of the reasons we chose Tulip was speed. Traditional systems take months. With Tulip, we got the same outcome in 85% less time," said a VP of Operations Engineering and Technology at Ultra Clean Technology, "that’s a huge amount of time saved for our employees who are suffering and need improvement today.”

“Tulip streamlines end-user experiences with integrated workflows and supports seamless data integration while enabling edge computing and computer vision. The Tulip platform is easy-to-introduce, it creates value quickly, and it has a high value to price ratio owing to their “platform approach,” says Wendy Bauer, General Manager, Automotive and Manufacturing at AWS. “Tulip has proven to be a key AWS Partner for years, and we are thrilled to expand our collaboration and continue innovating with Tulip to transform the way manufacturing works,” she adds.
