Each year, Gartner analysts assess trends in manufacturing to create the Gartner Hype Cycle, a graphic representation of the maturity and adoption of technologies and applications, and how they are potentially relevant to solving real business problems and exploiting new opportunities. This year, Tulip was featured prominently on several categories of the Manufacturing Operations Strategy Hype Cycle, including the Cloud Computing and IoT for Manufacturing Operations categories. We are honored to be included in the Gartner Hype Cycle, as it has become an industry standard for executives around the world who rely on it to gain a perspective on the impact that key players will have on their industries and how different technologies will evolve over time.

In their assessment of the industry, Gartner analysts Simon Jacobson and Rick Franzosa observe how cloud and IoT technologies can make manufacturing operations more flexible, agile and reliable. This is exactly what we see first-hand with our customers, who use Tulip to improve the way they run their factories. By building IoT-enabled Manufacturing Apps to digitize their operations, they are increasing the productivity of their teams, reducing quality issues throughout their shop floors and collecting real-time data to make better decisions. As the industry continues to adopt Manufacturing Apps, we’re excited to see the benefits of our technology continue to help the manufacturing workforce.

The only recognition we care about at Tulip is the trust that our customers, who are some of the world’s largest manufacturers, place in our platform to run their operations. However, we are proud to be recognized by Gartner as an important player in the space. Furthermore, we are thrilled that other important organizations have also taken notice of the positive impact our Manufacturing App Platform is having: earlier this year the World Economic Forum recognized us as a Technology Pioneer for our work helping people stay competitive in an increasingly automated industry; Business Insider named us one of the most innovative companies in the world; and AWS selected us as one of their first Industrial Competency Partners to increase the pace of innovation in the industry.

Despite all of these milestones, we are just getting started. If you’d like to learn more about our platform and how we can help your company’s digital transformation, get in touch!
